TOP HIGH SCHOOL RUNNERS TO KICK-OFF CROSS COUNTRY SEASON AUGUST 1
Since the early 70's area high school, college and open cross country runners have annually tested their summer fitness in the ST. LOUIS CROSS COUNTRY KICK-OFF. The 36th annual running of this event will cover a 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) course around Forest Park's Central Ball Fields on Saturday, August 1, with the Women's Race starting at 8:00AM followed by the Men at 8:45AM. Awards will be presented in individual and team categories. Course record holders are Ben Rosario - 14:46 (2006) and Stephanie Hood, 17:05 (2008).
At the end of the photo shoot, I took several pix of a teenage son learning how to drive a Smartcar for a giggle! Notice the license plate says Mid Lyfe.
